I am in a constant state of wanting to eat spring rolls.
Here’s a way to make spring rolls extra quickly. They’re not as good as delivery food but they’re healthier and achievement tastes delicious.
What you’ll need:
- Phyllo dough
- Filling: shredded carrot, sprouts, shredded cabbage
- Some black pepper, soya sauce and lime juice to season the filling
- Sesame oil and a glazing brush
What to do:
Preheat your oven. Toss your veggie filling in a bowl with your seasoning so everything is coated and flavorful. Next, cut your phyllo dough into long strips and glaze with some sesame oil. Put a small amount of your filling at one edge of the strip, and roll that little sucker up.
Repeat until you’ve used up all your filling. Place your little spring rolls on to a baking sheet lined in parchment paper. Before putting the tray in the oven, give the rolls one last glaze with some more sesame oil.
Bake for approximately 10 minutes, but it’s not a precise science so you want to keep checking on them so the dough gets golden but not burnt.
YUMMY! Make sure you have some good dipping sauce on hand!
